Alyson lived and grew up in Seattle, Washington.
Aly went to Mack Elementary School and is currently home-schooled.
Aly won a drawing contest when she was in the 4th grade (10 years old), and her drawing got featured on a Hallmark 1999 Christmas card.
Aly has been playing the piano since she was six and started playing the guitar at the age of thirteen.
She started acting when she was five years old, mostly in church productions (outside Seattle, Washington, and in Thousand Oaks, California).
Aly started studying acting seriously at age 11.
Aly began working as a professional print model at age 11.
Aly was featured in numerous musicals including "Jailhouse Rock" and "A Time to Remember."
Alyson's breakout role was Keely Teslow in the Disney Channel's show "Phil of the Future".
Aly co-directed, produced and wrote "Aly & AJ In Concert" 2005 special.
Alyson owns over 20 guitars, and she likes them so much that she names them. One of her guitars Luna, another Artemis, and another Germis.
The guitar Aly uses the most in performances is called Luna.

Aly and AJ's first single "Rush" was the theme song of the new WNBA ad campaign.
Aly and AJ's song "No One" made the soundtrack and music video of Disney's "Ice Princess".
Aly and AJ went to the largest island in Hawaii on January 2006 to film their music video for the song "Rush" on the set of the TV show, "Lost".
Aly and AJ filmed the pilot episode for Disney's "Haversham Hall" on November 2005.
Aly was in the middle of hurricane Ivan while they were trying to film her movie "Now You See It" in New Orleans. They had to leave New Orleans and sit in a bus for many hours.
Aly doesn't have her room covered in teen posters because she likes to have a mature looking room.

Alyson used to have braces.
"Phil of the Future" was the first show that she auditioned for after she got her braces off.
Alyson claims that she is a very messy person.
