I have new album details! Aly and AJ Twittered like crazy about it, and I formed it into a paragraph. Very, very exciting!
"There are a lot of unanswered questions about what our single is going to be and the names of the tracks on our record. We have never been in a rush for this record. We ended up writing 50 songs for this one album. We have now narrowed it down to our favs. There's not one song on this record we don't believe in. We can't wait to play every single one live. It kills Into The Rush & Insomniatic..
The single has not been decided on because there are so many choices! This record will drop in the fall. We need ur help to rally the fans As well as people who aren't aware of our music. It's really important to buy the album the first week of sales. Here are some song titles: Say Hello, Damaged (Which we co-wrote with Nancy Wilson of Heart) Civilian, and Next Worst Thing (Co-written with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer).
Brace yourselves, more to come. It has been worth making a record over a year long span to give u the quality u deserve! Xo Aly & AJ"

Never Released Singles?

According to DISCOGS.COM, Aly and AJ have two never-before-released singles. "Another Day In Paradise" and "Anything For Love", two songs originally recorded by Phil Steinmann.
"After several attempts of trying to release mixtapes and remixes with the proper licensing without the expense of having a trailing record company contract. DJ Sebastian Louis and DJ MezzoForte (now DJ Flashback) started Vicious Recordings as an independent label with a recording studio in Topanga, CA. After not being able to afford the lease of the building, the company relocated to a larger building with a cheaper lease outside of Bakersfield, CA. The label is home to the Blue Sunrise releases and several remixes by DJ Sebastian Louis. In Summer 2007, Vicious Recordings began recruiting local bands from the area of San Luis Obispo, CA beginning with punk-act, Not Worth Mentioning. By Spring 2008, DJ Flashback established Vicious Recordings Remixing Service and Biggie Records as remixing service labels of hits featured in the Blue Sunrise compilations and several promos for DJ's. With the success of the promos, he launced "Pretty Cady Records" as a sublabel which re-released dance hits promotionally for DJ's without edits. To this day, the label still recruits local acts from the area of San Luis Obispo - Santa Barbara, CA"

Second Album

You know how it's been two full years since Aly and AJ have released an album? Well, there new album is gonna drop this year -with a single coming within months- and I've got three of the title tracks from the CD, thanks to AAMic.

Aly Michalka surrounds herself with good friends Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron and even Brittany Snow as she celebrates her 20th birthday at Beso restaurant earlier this year. Also in attendance were Brittany’s boyfriend Ryan Rottman and 90210 cutie Jessica Stroup.
Aly and lil sis AJ wrote in the notes section of the vid, saying, “Hey guys! We were looking around for some video to post up for you and found this one from Aly’s 20th birthday dinner back in March… check it! We had a bunch of our friends there and it was tons of fun! So just a little something to share with you. Working on some more that should be pretty good including some stuff from the studio!! xoxo”

They’re always up on the latest fashion trends, and last night (May 6) Aly and AJ Michalka were having a blast at the launch of the Herve Leger by Max Azria Collection.
The Disney darlings looked absolutely gorgeous as they schmoozed with fellow partygoers including designer Max Azria himself at Live! on Sunset in West Hollywood.
Coming up later this summer, Alyson will be starring alongside “High School Musical” hottie Vanessa Hudgens in the sure-to-be-rockin’ film “Bandslam.”
“Bandslam” is about a high school outcast who bonds with a popular girl over their shared love of music. The friendship results in a rock group that competes in the school’s battle of the bands competition.

Aly Michalka Joins 'Roommate'

Aly Michalka has joined Matt Lanter to topline Screen Gems' thriller "The Roommate," being directed by Christian E. Christiansen.
"Roommate" is a psychological thriller about a deranged college freshman, Rebecca (Meester), who becomes dangerously obsessed with her new roommate, Sara (Kelly). Michalka ("Phil of the Future") will play an outgoing dormmate determined to give Sara a social life. Lanter ("90210") will play Sara's ex-boyfriend. Gigandet will play her current boyfriend.
Michalka next toplines Summit and Walden's rock-oriented summer release "Bandslam." She and sister AJ are releasing a CD for Hollywood Records this year. Michalka is repped by CAA, Lynda Goodfriend Artists Management and Strategic Artist Management.

"Bandslam" - Disney Channel's Vanessa Hudgens and Alyson Michalka bring their musical skills to this high school comedy about the ultimate glory: winning the battle of the bands. Opens Aug. 14.
A super belated Happy Birthday to Alyson first, she's already 20! Now, Alyson has been involved in the making of the movie Bandslam, and the official trailer for the movie is out! The movie also features other celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens, Gaelan Connell, Lisa Kudrow, and David Bowie.
Bandslam revolves around a teenager who assembles a fledgling rock band -- together, they achieve their dreams and compete against the best in the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands.
